ROB STODDARD is an award-winning freelance game designer and producer. Rob's work includes over 100 games that have been commercially published. Game titles include the iconic works WARMACHINE®, HORDES™ and Monsterpocalypse® as well as licensed games such as Star Wars™ Rebel Missions, Justice League Axis of Villains, Disney Eye Found It!®, and Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Master of the Seas™.
In 2003, Rob was one of the first employees of Privateer Press. As Product Line Director and Developer, Rob helped build the foundation and future vision for the company. While at Privateer Press, Rob’s games earned six Origin Awards. In 2010, Rob started a new adventure as Game Design Director of his own business. Rob continues to work with multiple publishers and brands/licenses. Rob has established design, production, and playtest structures for a multitude of games, garnering recognition in the process (including nine Oppenheim Platinum awards, five Oppenheim Gold awards, 11 PAL awards, and one TOTY Game of the Year nomination) and increasing clients’ sales by over 60%. Disney Eye Found It!® was nominated for Game of the Year in the 2015 Toy of the Year Awards (TOTY).
Rob is an avid gamer and plays just about everything from tabletop miniatures (WARMACHINE®, Warhammer 40k®), and collectible card games (Magic: The Gathering) to mobile and multiplayer online games and series such as Destiny, Halo, League of Legends, Call of Duty, and more. Rob’s blend of play and design experience in every game medium bestows him with insight and a unique skill set that are virtually impossible to replicate. Rob is originally from Seattle, WA, and currently resides in Bellevue, WA.
